GETTING HERE
San Miguel de Allende can be easily accessed by several airports: Leon, Guanajuato (BJX) or Querétaro (QRO), both about a 1.5 hour drive away from San Miguel, or Mexico’s major airport in Mexico City (MEX) about 3.5 hours away.
Rules and regulations in Mexico prohibit ride share options, such as Uber, to be requested for pick up at any airport in Mexico. Ride-hailing services can only be used for airport drop offs.
Private, safe transfers from all airports can be arranged. We do not recommend car rentals or Greyhound-type buses for your transportation needs.
If you would like private, English-speaking transport options to get to and from the airport, for carpooling with other guests, or traveling to any other destinations, please consider contacting the following:
TRANSPORTARTE, +52 (415)-105-5196, transportartemexico@gmail.com. Availability ranges from 3-passenger to 14-passenger vehicles starting at $115 USD each way, depending on the vehicle size.
Taxis and vans can also be arranged through your hotel with advance notice for easy trips into the city or to surrounding adventures.
Casa Adela, our venue location, is a villa located a short 15-minute drive from San Miguel's downtown in the quaint countryside town of Atotonilco along Route 51, a major and safe highway. The town is home to the famous “Santuario de Atotonilco,” a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most notable churches in Mexico’s revolutionary history. The Google Maps location of the property’s driveway can be found here.
